Nathan Fletcher vs Cameron Else… Cage Warriors 145 just got BIGGER!
The event is set to take place on Friday, November 4th, 2022. With the addition of Fletcher and Else, the card is almost complete, with seven fights now confirmed. Set to headline the stacked card is Jordan Vucenic vs Paul Hughes. The two featherweights will look to battle it out in a Cage Warriors title unification bout.
Bantamweight Brawlers
This time last year, Nathan Fletcher was undefeated and heading into a title fight with current bantamweight champion Dominque Wooding. However, just 40 seconds before entering the championship rounds, Wooding would land big and send Fletcher stumbling. Causing the referee to stop the contest at 4:21 of round 3. Coming into the title challenge, Fletcher was 6-0 with six finishes. Five of them by way of submission. He is a dangerous competitor for anyone in the weight class and truly worthy of his shot.
By the time Nathan enters the cage again, he would have been without a fight for almost 14 months. But at just 24 years of age, the time off for the Next Generation Liverpool fighter may have just done him some good. Sharpening skills with the likes of the UK’s most famous MMA stars, Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann, can only be a good thing.
On November 4th, across from him will be veteran Cameron Else (10-6). Cameron has vast cage experience. He’s fought for a number of organizations, Cage Warriors, BAMMA, FFC, and most recently? The UFC!
Although he didn’t earn a victory in the UFC octagon, the fact he was signed to the worlds leading MMA organization speaks volumes for his talent and following. His stint in the UFC saw him face the rising star, Kyler Philips, who is on the cusp of UFC top 15 rankings. As well as Chinese MMA standout Aori Qileng. Cameron, compared to his next foe, Fletcher, definitely has the experience edge.
