Hot UK pro select Nathan Fletcher will make his return against veteran fighter Araik Margarian. Set to take place at Cage Warriors 141 on July 22nd in London, the eve of the UFC’s return to the UK capital. A stacked card will take place at the O2 Indigo on the night, this fight just adds another reason to tune in.
Nathan Fletcher
The 6-1 Scouser who fights out of Next Generation MMA Liverpool, will be looking to bounce back. Losing his last outing to current champion Dominique Wooding in their battle for the vacant bantamweight championship. A career Cage Warriors fighter has seen all of his seven fights take place in the promotion. Among those seven none have seen the distance.
With six wins and six finishes, Nathan is one of the country’s most exciting fighters. One KO/TKO, but Fletcher really excels on the ground as shown by his five submission wins. He can do it early or late and boast finishes in rounds one, two and three.
At only 24 he’s training with some of UK MMA’s biggest stars. This will only help Nathan grow as a fighter and push on to once again challenge for gold in the near future. This is his first appearance since September last year and he’ll be looking to show his improvements come fight night.
Araik Margarian
On the other side of the cage will be the French veteran Araik Margarian. With 36 professional bouts, Araik’s record currently sits at 25-11. Making his debut all the way back in 2009, he will be looking to pull off the upset and further help the climb of French MMA across the globe.
Fighting out of and representing Marseille Fight Club, he surrounds himself with lots of experienced French talent. Also, a man who sees submission has his most popular mode of victory. Of his 25 wins, he has finished 20, with four KO/TKO and an extremely impressive 16 via way of submission.
Making his Cage Warriors debut Margarian will be stepping into the proverbial lion’s den on the 22nd. A man with his wealth of experience should be able to handle this immense pressure and will be looking to make his mark on UK soil.
