OKTAGON 48 goes down tonight in a packed Manchester Arena, Europe’s leading MMA promotion makes it’s UK debut.
Tonight Manchester plays host to Europes biggest promotion OKTAGON MMA. The promotion touches down in the UK for the first time with a card stacked full of home fighters. At the top of the bill is a massive inaugural flyweight title fight between Aaron Amy and Elias Garcia.
The card features a household of British names with Akonne Wanliss in the co-main event, Scott Askham making his return to UK, Lee Chadwick in his retirement fight. Most notable is the culmination of over a years hard work for Jake Quickenden and Paul Smith. Both have been training MMA in the lead-up to this fight for a year.
Another storyline on this card is the finale of OKTAGON Challenge, the MMA show that ran on Channel 4 this last month. The finale sees amateur stand-out George Staines take on Irishman Denis Frimpong in a match with bad blood and more than 2 years in the making.
The card kicks off Saturday November 4th at 5PM UK time and is available to watch via Channel 4 online.
