OKTAGON 49 takes place Saturday night with a record MMA crowd in Cologne Germany. Amongst British interest is nextgen prospect Jake McHugh.
Coming off his stint in OKTAGON Challenge Team England v Team Ireland, Jake McHugh (0-0, 5-0 amateur) makes his OKTAGON debut at OKTAGON 49. The next-gen prospect will meet Ivan Klevets (0-2-0) at a stacked show in Cologne, Germany on Saturday night.
Jake was a part of Team England on the recent OKTAGON Challenge show on YouTube. On the show he fought once against Armand Herczeg, he lost that fight via submission in the first round. Fortunately for Jake, the bosses at OKTAGON saw something in him and have signed up for this fight in Cologne. He’ll be looking for redemption and to gain a winning start to his professional career.
In a recent post on X McHugh said
“I’ve been thinking about it, this isn’t just my pro debut. This is redemption, this is a second chance. Not everyone gets a second chance. It’s time, I’m coming for this guy!”
