It isn’t hard to make the sport of Mixed Martial Arts even more special, and that could be because of the deep passion for competition these fighters have. Oktagon MMA does it each and every time, and OKTAGON 52 will be no different.
Sometimes that pure passion for competition breeds bad blood between competitors who were on a collision course inevitably destined to fight one another, and with the stars aligning so perfectly on Saturday, January 27, 2024 MMA fans need to take notice to that special moment once again as Jack Cartwright will take on rival Jonas Mågård.
The England fan base of any sport is so die hard and dedicated that is seems only fitting that Newcastle will have the privilege to host one of the biggest fights from Oktagon MMA. They are gifted a fight that could be remembered for years to come.
OKTAGON 52 Face-to-Face
The Oktagon MMA promotion machine has hit it out of the park by showcasing a face-to-face sit down interview, which only adds to the entertaining fight between Jack Cartwright and Jonas Mågård. The Bad Blood between Cartwright and Mågård heated up to a whole new level, to where the fight has now become a must-win – not for the standings, but for personal pride between two men who once trained together.
A thing that makes these Face 2 Face so entertaining is that Oktagon MMA chose a perfect mediator. Luke Barnatt, a veteran of the sport of MMA, managed to strike rivalry gold as the verbal bad blood boiled over with how Jack Cartwright and Jonas Mågård went back-and-forth. It definitely turned that rivalry up a whole new level, but it was handled perfectly by Luke. Sure, Cartwright and Jonas did talk over each other countless times in their heated verbal exchanges, but Barnatt reeled the conversation back to get more great questions out to hype the fight more.
The Tale of the Tape
Jack Cartwright
Jack Cartwright can do it all inside the cage, whether the fight takes place on the feet or it happens to go to the ground. He has a slick submission and bundled with his power it is no shock why he is a fan favourite. With only one loss on his record, Jack has become so laser-focused on his goal of becoming a world champion and to show the world that even without a title he is the baddest man on the planet. Behind his superhuman power many believe that he can get a finish over Jonas Mågård, leaving no doubt he is next in line for a title shot.
Jonas Mågård
Jonas Mågård came up short against Felipe Lima for the OKMMA Bantamweight Championship, and is looking to get the winning momentum back with a huge win over Jack Cartwright. It is a very difficult task at hand, but Jonas knows the danger and is willing to walk through fire to earn not only the fans’ respect for another title shot, while taking the respect from Jack Cartwright, who is quite possibly his hardest fight to date, at OKTAGON 52.
If you haven’t checked out the Oktagon MMA Face 2 Face, it is a key to open up even more excitement for Cartwright vs. Mågård. Grab a ticket if you happen to be in Newcastle on January 27, and here is all the info you need from Oktagon MMA.
