The Fight
The Swedish native isn’t exactly famous for his ground game. However, he delivered big when he pulled this out of his locker. Taking on Mark Lemminger, a wrestler, Oliver Enkamp took the fight to him. Scoring the takedown in the first and continued to win the round with his grappling.
The second round was more of what was expected with the wrestler taking control. Looking to put punishment on Oliver for the Swede’s first-round dominance. Grinding Enkamp down, Mark did a tremendous job of stopping Oliver from having his moments and staying in control.
Entering the third round the fight was one apiece but looked to be in Lemminger’s favour after a dominant second. With blood on his face, Enkamp came forward to fight, throwing a high kick. Mark caught the kick and slammed Oliver to the canvas hard. In what might have been a repeat of round two. The Fight quickly turned on its head.
The Finish
With one leg over Mark’s shoulder, Oliver looked to be using his position to perhaps gain control again and get to his feet. But to the surprise of many, he wrapped the leg over, pulled his arms over and locked in the buggy choke. A unicorn in the MMA world, the buggy choke is incredibly rare to see and even rarer to see used in a victory. Bellator 281 makes the history books for this alone.
See it to Believe it
Next Up
Now back in the win column with a special win. Enkamp will look up the Welterweight division rankings and see plenty of names on his proverbial hit list. Back-to-back wrestlers, fans are begging to see what the 30-year-old can do when matched up against another striker. With 170lbs gold on the line tonight, Enkamp might have just stolen the show in a statement win.
