UFC fighters Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria have found themselves in another Twitter spat just 3 months after almost coming to blows at UFC London.
The latest engagement began when a fan encouraged Pimblett to fight Topuria ‘if he had the balls’ in The Baddy’s Twitter replies section, also attaching an image with Topuria quoting ‘I want that blonde bitch’.
Paddy’s reply was simple, suggesting that Ilia only publicly asked for the fight for ‘clickbait’ and that ‘nobody even knew him until I bounced a bottle of his head’.
Topuria made his way into the conversation by replying: ‘Eres un come pinga’ or in English, ‘You are a dick eater’.
Pimblett answered back by saying: ‘Pretty homophobic don’t ya think mate? What if I actually did? What would u say then? Fucking weirdo u stop using my name for publicity u little bitch stick to being homophobic in ur own country’.
Ilia wasn’t done there, as he attempted to back up his quote: ‘I know that eres un come pinga, that’s why I said it. There is nothing wrong with it. I have never tried it so I don’t know if it’s good or bad but you can keep on enjoy it paddy the baddy, remember I’m your daddy’.
Pimblett and Topuria’s Hotel Altercation
The most recent twitter back-and-forth is just the tip of the iceberg. The two have argued on Twitter for months over numerous topics such as nationality, and of course facing each other in the octagon.
The most notable encounter, however, was in person at a hotel before UFC London. The respective 155 and 145 pounder’s had bouts set for the UFC London card on March 19th. With the two being in such close proximity, something was bound to happen.
In the fighter hotel, Topuria and his team approached Paddy, and only a table was separating the two from fully coming to blows.
Pimblett often refers back to a moment in the altercation in which he threw a bottle of hand sanitizer which hit Topuria on the head.
The teams were quickly separated, although words were exchanged across the room.
As for a fight between these two, the difference in weight class seems to be a big issue at the moment. However, if the scrap did eventually gather enough value, there’s no doubt that one of them would eventually make the move.
The Baddy will appear on the next UFC London card when he faces American Jordan Leavitt. Topuria does not seem to have his next fight booked.
Do you think the two will eventually settle their differences with a fight?
