Paddy Pimblett uploaded a video of himself celebrating erratically as Spain beat England 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday.
Paddy Pimblett Insults England Fans After Spain’s Late Equaliser
Although it may be an odd sight for some, Pimblett has always admitted that he is not a fan of the English national team.
As Mikel Oyarzabal netted the 86th-minute winner, “The Baddy” began to unload on his peers, who appeared to be friends of the UFC star.
Pimblett exclaimed: “Yes! Look at all your faces, you f***ing Woollyback’s. Yes! F***ing get in! You gang of f***ing Wool’s.
“You gang of Woollyback’s, you f***ing mings!”
The Baddy Justifies His Actions
After recycling the term “Woollyback”, which is used to describe someone who lives in Liverpool but is not originally from there. 29-year-old Pimblett justified on his Instagram story as to why he was so excited by the winning goal.
He wrote: “So a lot of ppl are making a big deal out of this video so I’m putting it up myself for you’s all to see.
“I had a bet with a few of my mates in the pub and if England wud have won I wudda had to pay out £3000, also everyone jumped on me and celebrated on me 10 mins earlier when England scored.
“How can use expect me to not return the favor a few mins later.”
The Liverpudlian ended his Instagram story spree by confirming that his reaction to the game was more about winning £3000. Rather than England losing.
“That’s what it feels like winning 3k in the last minute of the match,” Pimblett claimed.
“Anyone that says they wouldn’t celebrate winning a bet like that you’s are absolutely crazy.”
The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion will now gear up for his lightweight matchup against the number 15-ranked Bobby “King” Green.
Aiming to advance his five-fight win streak in the UFC at the Co-op Live Arena Manchester on the 27th of July. Pimblett’s contract with the promotion is set to expire. Meaning this could be his last.
