Paddy Pimblett has taken the UFC by storm since moving from Cage Warriors. The fighter from Liverpool is very entertaining in and outside the Octagon. He will fight Tony Ferguson at UFC 296 in December. If he wins, he is already eyeing up potential opponents for UFC 300.
The Rising Star Paddy Pimblett
Pimblett is one of the biggest rising stars in the company today. His performances in the Octagon have impressed people around the MMA world. The Liverpudlian is still undefeated in the UFC and plans to keep up the momentum in December. Pimblett will face a tough challenge when he fights UFC veteran Tony Ferguson. A win over Ferguson would be massive in ‘Paddy the Baddie’s career.’ It is because even though Ferguson is on a massive losing streak, he is still a big name within the company.
Eyeing Up UFC 300
Pimblett seems confident ahead of UFC 296. He is already looking for opponents after the Ferguson fight. He has his eye on competing on the monumental UFC 300 card. It looks like he has some opponents in mind if he beats Ferguson.
“I’ll be honest, I don’t see myself in the top 15 after a win against Tony,” Pimblett said. “Bobby Green didn’t, and Bobby Green fought- beat him before I did. So I can see myself fighting someone like that: Bobby Green and Grant Dawson. Someone like that to get in the rankings. I mean, that’s what I can see after I beat Tony. LikeEspeciallyConor’s [McGregor] is coming back in UFC 300, lad. The missus will be due a couple of weeks after that. So, it’d be nice to get another- another fight in, get another payday in before the twins are due.”
