UFC megastar Paddy Pimblett promises to deliver a first-round victory over UFC 282 opponent Jarden Gordon.
Paddy Pimblett makes the walk again this Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 282. In his fourth appearance with the promotion, Pimblett looks to continue his momentum. With three fights and three victories in the UFC so far, Paddy vows his next one will be no different. When speaking on the UFC countdown, he made some interesting predictions for the fight.
Paddy Pimblett Speaks on Jared Gordon
Pimblett said, “I really like Jared Gordon. I respect him. His story is amazing. He’s a big advocate for mental health himself and for helping people get through addiction and get their life back on track”. Paddy gave an emotional speech regarding mental health after his last fight against Jordan Leavitt, here, he gained the respect of many fans and fighters for using his platform to highlight such an important issue.
Paddy went on to say, “He has gone from being an addict to fighting in the UFC. Just look at Jared. He’s the perfect example. He just isn’t on my level, and I’m going to finish Jared Gordon. He’s getting finished in the first round, and everyone will finally realise who the f**k the boy is”.
With Paddy’s last fight with Jordan Leavitt becoming personal, this fight makes a change for the Liverpudlian. Although he respects and admires Jared Gordon’s work, it appears that Paddy is more focused than ever on proving his worth in the division and making another statement here. A win of Jared propels Pimblett into top-15 contention. Many fans have called for him to face a ranked fighter. After UFC 282, that may be where he is heading.
