Now one of the biggest names in the sport Paddy Pimblett has had everyone waiting for his next fight. Today, we wait no more. He will be fighting Jared Gordon in a showcase match-up at UFC 282 on December 10th.
Paddy Pimblett
After rising to superstardom for both his in and out-of-cage antics. The Scouser has gone three from three inside the cage. Putting together a trio of wins and finishes he has built his name well.
While walking the walk inside the cage. He’s talked the talk outside of it too. Producing many viral clips that up to this point have amassed millions of views. With his partner in crime Molly McCann, they have taken the sport by storm.
With many critical of him, you can’t doubt he’s a star in the making. This next bout will be his toughest yet. His former three opponents, Luigi Vendramini, Kazula Varga and Jordan Leavitt. Have all been good competition. Jared Gordon is the next step.
Jared Gordon
A man with a wealth of experience, he isn’t going into this one as a crash test dummy. Always game and looking to bring the pain. Jared has skills that could compare with the division’s best.
At 34, he currently has a record of 19-5. Eight of his wins have come inside the distance with six TKO/KO’s and a pair of submissions. Well-rounded and incredibly tricky, Gordon has been in the cage with some of the best including Charles Oliveira. Albeit, in a losing effort.
Looking to make a huge mark in the MMA landscape. A win for Gordon could send him to a different level. Don’t expect this to be a walk in the park for the Baddy.
Styles Make Fights
Paddy has shown his ability in his three fights so far. A wizard when it gets to the ground, he can tangle with the best. Not as polished a striker as others, but he still holds his own in this department and can take a shot.
Jared has earned most of his UFC wins via decision. A sensible fighter who uses his strengths against his opponent’s weaknesses. If there is a hole in your game Gordon will find it and test it.
A great fight, with Paddy being tested against an 11-fight UFC Veteran. A win for either will really push them to the next step. For Paddy, it will move him into top 15 contention. For Jared, it will make his name recognisable globally.
