Paddy Pimblett has addressed online critics after a recent gym fight where he refused to let go of a submission.
‘The Baddy’ continues to be a controversial figure in the MMA space, only being amped by an out-of-the-cage fight with OKTAGON MMA’s Denis Frimpong – a 3-2 fighter fighting out of Manchester Top Team.
The pair had been beefing over social media for a while, culminating in a fight at Frimpong’s gym just last week.
The UFC fighter ended the fight with a rear-naked choke, but decided to not let go when the Irishman tapped. Chaos then ensued as onlookers on the mats rushed to break the pair up.
The clip went viral on X, and drew a lot of critics who belated Pimblett for his antics during the fight. The 30-year-old took to social media to address the criticism.
He said: “He agreed to no tapping beforehand.
“All you butthurt idiots who don’t know what you’re talking about just pipe down, don’t talk when you don’t know the context.
“Not my fault he tapped like a [p*ssy] when he was saying he was going to KO me on the feet and got out struck.”
Denis Frimpong Responds After His Fight With Paddy Pimblett
Off the back of the public criticism for Pimblett, Frimpong today made a statement on X about the ending of the fight.
He said: “To everyone chatting sh*t about @PaddyTheBaddy not letting the choke go, chill out.
“It’s a f*cking choke, I didn’t even go unconscious, and it was a straightener scrap.
“I went in fully expecting that if he caught a choke he was gonna try put me out, don’t chat sh*t you don’t know.”
