UFC will return to London in March 2025, and Liverpool’s own Paddy Pimblett is bound to feature on the main card.
The rising sensation got the biggest win of his career so far at UFC 304 in Manchester. He was the first person to ever submit King Green and did it in emphatic fashion. That excellent win got him a spot in the rankings and the only way is up for the fan favourite. Many speculated that Renato Moicano would be next however on his own win streak he has got a shot at the veteran Beneil Dariush at UFC 311. Unfortunately fans only got to see Pimblett once in 2024 so an early appearance in 2025 would be welcomed and UFC London is perfect.
Following Moicano’s fight announcement speculation arose of a few elite European clashes due to the wealth of talent at 155lbs. Benoit Saint Denis of France and Mateusz Gamrot of Poland are two names in particular that were mentioned. Given his star power Pimblett is undoubtedly ready to headline a fight night. Alternatively, former UFC welterweight king Leon Edwards has already confirmed he will headline the London card. His own opponent is still yet to be confirmed. The card has had a few announcements with Molly McCann getting her regular UK appearance and a huge light heavyweight title eliminator between Jan Błachowicz and Carlos Ulberg being the surprise so far. On Pimblett’s popular channel he has teased his return on numerous occasions but this is his biggest hint to date.

Being one of the sport’s biggest rising stars he will be able to get closer to the belt quicker than many and a fight against a top contender could propel him towards long standing champion Islam Makhachev sooner than expected. Pimblett had this to say at the end of his most recent YouTube video.
“People have been speculating about who I’m fighting. This and that. I’m coming for that belt, so I’m looking for higher ranked fighters and I’m sure you’s will see a fight announcement soon enough. I’ve said yeah. The opponent’s said yeah just need to get stuff signed.” Quote via Paddy The Baddy YouTube channel.
The comments themselves don’t give much away. However, he closed the video off stating, “I’ll see you at the top.” The tagline synonymous with the ever entertaining Michael Chandler. The American fought at UFC 309 after a long lay off due to waiting for a Conor McGregor matchup. He faced another special entertainer in Charles Oliveira and came up short losing a unanimous decision to the Brazilian. Now on a two fight skid Chandler is in a position where he must defend his high ranking and a hungry newcomer like Pimblett is the next logical matchup. Both men are huge draws and strive at promoting their fights, it would be a superb addition to UFC London.
