Johnny Walker is eager to set up a fight with Scotland’s Paul Craig in his native homeland of Brazil.
Johnny Walker (19-7) exploded onto the scene in 2018/19, crushing everyone the UFC put in-front of him. Once upon a time, many believed Walker was the man that would dethrone light heavyweight GOAT, Jon Jones.
After winning his first three fights with the UFC, the 30-year-old has been inconsistent inside the Octagon going (2-4), which has seen him on the wrong end of highlight-reel knockouts on numerous occasions. Now settled in Dublin, Ireland, under Coach John Kavanagh, Walker seems to be in a good headspace and is looking to re-climb the ranking after taking out Ion Cutelaba at UFC 279.
Johnny Walker Sets Sighs on Paul Craig
In a recent interview with LowKick MMA, Johnny Walker indicated he is hopeful of meeting the Scottish submission artist next and would be grateful if the UFC booked them for UFC 283 in Rio.
“If I can get to UFC Rio in January, could be good to fight the guy from Scotland, Paul Craig,” Walker said to Mike Owens
The fight currently makes sense with were both men are in the division. That being said, Craig has always been forced to fight anyone, anywhere, without a complaint. Perhaps the Scotsman may be looking ahead of him in the rankings, not below him.

Craig is no stranger to the hostile atmosphere of competing in Brazil, having fought local hero Mauricio’ Shogun’ Rau in Sau Paulo. Never shy of a challenge is “Bearjew”, who would more than likely accept the fight with open arms.
Paul Craig has since answered the Brazilian’s call out:
