It looks like Paul Felder will return to the octagon after a sabbatical away from the UFC. Felder is among the more popular fighters in the UFC due to his fighting career and commentary. There are many exciting matchups for Felder to have if he returns. However, speaking to Michael Bisping on the “Believe You Me” podcast, the two talk about a potential matchup between Felder and Tony Ferguson.
Michael Bisping On Who Paul Felder Should Fight Next
Felder had an outstanding career in the UFC, where he fought the best of the best. The fighter from Philadelphia had a professional record of 17-6 with 11 finishes. He has beaten the likes of Edson Barboza and James Vick. His fights were always entertaining, and he wore his heart on his sleeve. He now commentates for the UFC and has succeeded in that field. However, Bisping pitched the idea of Felder versus Ferguson at UFC 300 on his podcast.
“Don’t disown me, UK, I’m just saying, it’s a theory, I’m going somewhere. Tony Ferguson wins, Tony Ferguson Paul Felder, UFC 300.”.
Felder On Fight
Ferguson will take on Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296, and if he wins, Felder would be interested in a matchup.
“Now you’re talking right, and that’s where I’m at with that guy, that’s why I don’t mention Tony is A. I like Tony, and you know I’ve been one of the guys saying, oh man, maybe it’s time to, and this is coming from retirement Paul where I’m out.
I’m like, man, come over to the other side, Tony, join us here on the retirement side, but if he goes and looks good against Paddy, that’s an option too. That dude’s an absolute legend of the lightweight division, but I’d like him to have a win, you know what I mean before I get back in there. But who am I? He might not want anything to do with me either, but that was brought up, and I’m like yeah, if he goes out there and can kick Paddy’s ass, then it’s a fun fight.”
