Professional Fighters League (PFL) begins the second half of the 2023 Regular Season with PFL Atlanta: Featherweight & Light Heavyweight.
In the main event, 2022 PFL Featherweight Champion Brendan Loughnane of the United Kingdom faces Jesus “El Mudo” Pinedo of Peru in a Featherweight clash.
Loughnane, who weighed in at 146-pounds, currently sits at the top of the Featherweight standings with 5 points following a second-round TKO win over Marlon Moraes in April.
A win of any kind will send Loughnane back to the PFL Playoffs. Pinedo on the other hand, needs to win to keep his playoff hopes afloat. He weighed in at 146-pounds for his must-win matchup.
Co-Main
In the co-main event, 2021 PFL Featherweight Champion Movlid “The Killer” Khaybulaev of meets Tyler Diamond.
Khaybulaev, who weighed in at 146-pounds, is a stoppage victory away from another postseason appearance.
The former titleholder currently sits in third place in the Featherweight division with 3 points, following a decision win over Ryoji Kudo in April.
Diamond, who weighed in at 145.8-pounds, will be making his 2023 Regular Season debut, and will need a stoppage victory to stay in the playoff hunt.
Main Card
Also on the card, Norway’s Marthin “The Dark Horse” Hamlet meets Tonga’s Sam “K9” Kei in a Light Heavyweight clash.
Hamlet, who weighed in at 205.8-pounds, is a victory away from returning to the postseason.
The 2021 Light Heavyweight runner-up currently sits atop the standings with 6 points after a first-round submission win over Mohammed Fakhreddine in April.
Kei, who weighed in at 206-pounds, has his back against the wall, and will need to win to keep his playoff aspirations alive.
In a Featherweight matchup, Bubba “Bad Man” Jenkins of the United States faces “The Korean Falcon” Jo Sungbin of South Korea.
Jenkins, who weighed in at 146-pounds, can clinch a third-straight PFL Playoff berth with a stoppage win.
He currently has 3 points after his decision win over Chris Wade. Jo, meanwhile, weighed in at 145.8-pounds for his 2023 Regular Season debut.
The South Korean star will need to come up with a finish to keep himself in the Featherweight play-off picture.
Opening the main card will be a Light Heavyweight bout between American Joshua Silveira and Brazil’s Delan Monte.
Silveira, who weighed in at 205.6-pounds, is coming off a first-round submission win in April, which earned 6 points in the standings.
A win of any kind propels the PFL Challenger Series graduate to his second-straight postseason appearance.
Monte, meanwhile, weighed in at 205.8-pounds, as he faces a must-win situation to stay in the postseason race.
