PFL Europe comes to a conclusion this Friday, in the light heavyweight final Jakob Nedah takes on British standout Simeon Powell
Undefeated British Lightheavyweight Simeon Powell opens up the main card on Friday night. He’s facing Russian Jakob Nedoh (7-1). Powell is a real standout in the division and brings with him a unique striking style, think Michael Venom Page at light heavyweight. Not only that but Simeon showed his determination by taking an opponent change on 1 days notice at PFL Europe 3. Simeon has a number of finishes on his record with arm triangles, kicks and knees.
Simeon had this to say about the fight:
“The guy’s a phenomenal athlete. His physique [and] the record, it speaks for itself.
“But, I back myself and he ain’t fought anyone like me. I’ve done it in the space of just over two years and I feel like that speaks loudly, like how hungry and determined I am. I’m that young lion, do you know what I mean?”
“I can come in and I feel like he’s a game opponent and that excites me, so yeah.”
Jakob is coming off a win at PFL Europe 3, he secured a first round finish by ground and pound. He’s also undefeated currently in the PFL
PFL Europe 4: Jakob Nedah Beats Simeon Powell
Round 1: Both fighter started out with accurate hands, with Nedo h being the aggressor and keeping Powell on the outside. After a quick combination Powell initiates a clinch against the fence where both fighters battled for positon. From there when the fighters broke Simeon Powell showed his full range of skills with some beautiful strikes, Nedoh hit back with a big punch towards the end of the round which caused Simeon to grapple.
Round 2: After a fast exchange in the second round, Simeon looked good on his feet, moving well and landing his punches. Nedoh lands a huge straight right followed by a left hook which knocks Powell down to finish the fight.
Result: Jakob Nedoh defeats Simeon Powell by TKO
