One of the UK’s standout prospects Manchester’s own Lewis McGrillen has signed a multi-fight deal with the PFL. The brit broke onto the main stream in March this year making his PFL debut alongside fellow prospect and teammate Dakota Ditcheva.
Manchester Top Team
One of the UKs biggest MMA gyms has a pair of wonderful prospects in Dakota Ditcheva and Lewis McGrillen. Both are undefeated and have great finishes already in the early stages of their MMA journey. McGrillen has finished all seven of his professional bouts with only one making it into the second round. His loud and brash charism has garnered plenty of excitement in the young mans next career steps. Training with well seasoned pros like Kane Mousah and OKTAGON bantamweight champion Jonas Magard will benefit the youngster greatly.
British Interest in Lewis McGrillen and PFL
English MMA great Dan Hardy has recently announced that he is the new Head of Operations for PFL Europe. Being one of the best analysts in the fight game this was a brilliant addition to the PFL team. He had some positive words to say about the new signing.
“We are very excited to bring Lewis McGrillen into the PFL Europe family and watch him develop into the star that his trajectory predicts. There has been a lot of buzz around him since his amateur days, and after his break out performance in Newcastle, we can see why. He is a young, powerful, and confident fighter, undefeated and right at the beginning of his promising journey. There is no doubt that his presence on any PFL Europe event will bring an intensity and excitement that will follow McGrillen throughout his career.”
PFL Featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane also fights out of Manchester and is undoubtedly one of the best featherweights on the planet. McGrillen can take inspiration from his work ethic and grind that won him the PFL featherweight tournament in 2022. A wealth of British interest followed to the fasting growing promotion in MMA. Loughnane has already competed this year defeating a UFC legend in Marlon Moraes via leg kicks in the second round.
PFL Europe Hits Berlin
The event in Berlin will be PFL’s second European venture after a successful event in Newcastle in March. Paris and Dublin will be the autumn destinations on the 4 stop European tour for the PFL in 2023. The Berlin card will be full of European prospects all looking to climb to the elite level and potentially into one of the PFL Tournaments where the winner earns a one million dollar cheque. Countrymen Connor Hughes and Dominique Wooding will appear in Berlin.
