The PFL is returning this evening with their PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants card. In the main event, it will contested between former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and PFL Heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira. Francis Ngannou left the UFC and signed with the PFL in 2023. Since signing with the promotion he hasn’t entered the smart cage instead went into the boxing ring. His boxing adventure featured defeats to Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Renan is coming into this fight off the back of winning the PFL 2023 heavyweight tournament and then defeating Ryan Badder in the first round in the PFL vs Bellator card.
This is only one of 3 title fights this evening as Cris Cyborg is also making her return to the octagon. Cris Cyborg was the Bellator featherweight champion and is facing the PFL featherweight champion Larissa Pacheco. The first title on the line this evening will be the Bellator middleweight title with Johnny Elben looking to defeat Fabian Edwards once again. Elben defended the belt against Edwards back in Dublin in September 2023. Since the first fight, Edwards was successful in becoming the number one contender with a victory over Aaron Jeffery in March 2024. There are also several great fighters featured on the card like AJ McKee who will be facing off against former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Paul Hughes and more.
