This weekend’s UFC Vegas 84 is set to deliver another thrilling showdown, this time featuring a compelling middleweight bout between Phil Hawes and Brunno Ferreira.
Phil Hawes steps into the Octagon with an impressive professional record of twelve wins and five losses. Known for his explosive power and athleticism, Hawes has secured eight victories by knockout and two by submission. His most recent win was a TKO win over Deron Winn in October 2023, showcasing his striking prowess and finishing ability. However, since then, the American has faced back-to-back losses to Roman Dolidze and Ikram Aliskerov.
On the other side of the cage, Brunno Ferreira brings his own set of skills to the matchup, boasting a record of ten wins and one loss. Ferreira, also known for his striking ability, has seven wins by knockout and three by submission. Coming into tonight’s fight, the Brazilian is coming off a debut loss Nursulton Ruziboev after a successful stint on Dana White’s Contender Series prior to that.
The clash between Hawes and Ferreira promises to be a battle of exciting styles. Brunno Ferreira Wipes Out Phil Hawes in One
Round 1: The round starts with Hawes closing the distance as Ferreira circles on the outside. Judo throw from Ferreira who puts Hawes on the mat. When the fight returns to the feet, Ferreira lands a knee up the middle which lands clean on Hawes. Hawes is hurt!!! He tries to circle to get his legs back under him but is clearly unsteady. ‘The Hulk’ chases Hawes down and another knee up the middle drops Hawes! He’s out cold as Ferreira follows him down with ground & pound. IT’S OVER with only seven seconds remaining of Round 1.
