The Manchester BEC Arena plays host to a Cage Warriors doubleheader, with two events on the 1st and 2nd of April. There is no shortage of exciting talent on display in what is surely a fantastic weekend’s worth of fights.
The Saturday card is stacked with great fights. Cage Warriors have added yet another bout that will get fans out of their seats from the first bell. Piotr “The Hitman” Chmielecki vs Michael “Jaguar” Tchamou is a fight between two middleweights with no backward step. You shouldn’t expect the judges to be involved in this one.
Cage Warriors 136: Piotr Chmielecki
Despite being 37 years of age, the Polish fighter is still relatively young in terms of his professional MMA career. “The Hitman” currently holds a professional record of 5-1 and had a very impressive streak at the amateur level also. Chmielecki even holds a win over current Bellator prospect Luke Trainer, the only loss of Trainer’s career.
If you take a closer look at his record, both pro and amateur, you will see why people are so excited for this bout. In 14 total bouts, Piotr has never been to the judge’s scorecards. Now, if you want eyes on you, that’s the perfect way to go about things.
After a nearly three-year layoff, Chmielecki looks to regain his early career momentum and put together another impressive win streak.
Michael Tchamou
Michael “Jaguar” Tchamou had a lot of eyes on him heading into his Cage Warriors debut last year. Despite the loss, the bout was very back and forth, and either man could have been separated from their consciousness in the end. It truly speaks testaments that, at only 1-1, he is being matched up with fighters with far more experience.
Fighting out of Newcastle, England, the 30-year-old has amassed a devastating finisher reputation. He has finished all four of his victories in both the amateur and professional ranks. Three of these finishes have come inside just one minute of the start of the fight.
It’s easy to see why this fight has got fans talking. It is almost guaranteed to gear the crowd up for the rest of the night.
