UFC Singapore saw the climax of the highly anticipated fight between the great Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway and the living MMA legend, Chan Sung Jung, The Korean Zombie. The fight has drummed up a lot of attention from the MMA fans across the globe.
Both fighters had a lot riding on this fight. Max Holloway was looking to keep himself within the top featherweights in the UFC along with the champion Alexander Volkanovski and the new threat to the champ, Ilia Topuria. Holloway was still sitting as the number one contender but has lost three times to Volkanovski. A win would possibly put him back in to a position to fight the champ for a fourth time. On the other hand, the Korean Zombie was looking to get himself back into the win column after his own loss to the champion Volkanovski last year. A win would possibly allow him to make another push to be placed in the featherweight top 5 after falling out after his loss
Good news for the fans as the fight was as spectacular as expected. Holloway once again put on a striking masterclass through the first two rounds. However, the Korean Zombie’s chin held firm. His determination never backed down as he threw his own flurry of strikes. As the fight entered the third round, Max Holloway closed out the fight in style with a fantastic right hand. The Korean Zombie’s chin broke and the fight ended at 0:23 of round three.
