Whether driven by a passion for competition or the lure of a big payday, influencer boxing keeps enticing retired MMA stars. Today, it was revealed that two long-retired UFC legends will face off in an influencer boxing match in 2025, over a decade after their first UFC clash. Rampage Jackson vs. Rashad Evans: Legendary UFC Rivals Set for Boxing Rematch in 2025
Fifteen years after their UFC showdown, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad “Suga” Evans are set to reignite their rivalry in a boxing ring. The two MMA legends have reportedly agreed to face off in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2025.
“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! IT’S HAPPENING,” declared an Instagram post from the Influencer Crossover Series, in partnership with Signature Punch Boxing.
“The rivalry reignites in 2025 as two MMA legends step into the boxing ring! Rashad ‘Suga’ Evans vs. Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson—a rematch over a decade in the making!”
While the exact date and venue remain unconfirmed, the event is promised to be historic. The promotion teased:
“This is more than a fight; it’s HISTORY. Witness the clash of two icons in a battle of skill, power, and legacy. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the action! Stay tuned for venue announcements and PPV details… Trust us—you won’t want to miss this.”
Jackson is hungry for revenge, having lost their 2010 UFC fight by unanimous decision after a heated season as rival coaches on The Ultimate Fighter.
Though influencer boxing continues to draw retired MMA stars back into action, this matchup has been brewing for years. Both Jackson and Evans have hinted at unfinished business.
“I just didn’t like him back in the day,” Jackson said this in a previous interview when he spoke to Demetrious Johnson. These two then reportedly had squashed their beef after appearing as “German twins” in Joe Carnahan’s film Boss Level.
“At first, it was tough,” Jackson admitted, “but after a while, we became cool. We’ve been boys ever since, but I still feel like there’s unfinished business.”
Jackson claimed Evans suggested the boxing match, avoiding an MMA rematch.
“He knows I’d put my foot through his ass in MMA,” Jackson said. “He got lucky, but he thinks he can outbox me. Let’s see if he’s right.”
Since retiring, Jackson has found success as a podcaster, co-hosting JAXXON with former UFC middleweight champion Rockhold. The duo has shared behind-the-scenes stories, from intense training regimens to Jackson’s infamous “sickest contract in UFC history.”
Now, Jackson and Evans prepare to turn back the clock, reigniting their rivalry in what promises to be a must-watch fight.
