A recent announcement from Almighty Fighting Championship confirmed a professional bantamweight title fight between the undefeated Raphael Uchegbu and Almighty debutant Alexander Sasha Pirev.
The event goes down on April 2nd at Olympia in Liverpool. After a great previous event from Almighty in Barnsley, they look to replicate that and have already put together an already stacked card. On Wednesday, March 2nd Almighty announced seven fights that would take place on their card and continue to look to add more.
Almighty FC: Raphael Uchegbu vs Alexander Sasha Pirev
Uchegbu (5-0-0) is no stranger to Almighty fans. He made a name for himself in the promotion in September 2021 when he put on a show in his home city of Liverpool and beat Dave Jones in Round 1 via ground and pound strikes. He then again fought in Liverpool at Almighty FC 21, where he won a Unanimous decision against George Courtney. Raphael proved that he could finish a fight in any way, impressively winning his first three pro fights via submission. He also trains at Team Kaobon and works with some of the world’s best, including UFC Heavyweight Tom Aspinall.
In a recent tweet, Raphael made his intentions clear for the fight:
Sasha Pirev (6-3-1) is ready to return after almost four years out of the cage. In all six of the Moldovan’s career wins, he has finished his opponent via submission or TKO. After kicking off his career in 2014, Alexander has fought in some of Europe’s top promotions. He gathered wins in Italy’s ‘CFC’ ‘Storm’ and ‘UMC’. Now seeking a new challenge in the UK. He fights out of American Top Team, Rome, preparing to capture gold in just one month.
You can watch the full event in-stadium at Olympia Liverpool or on Pay-Per-View.
