Raul Rosas Jr will become the youngest-ever fighter to compete inside the UFC octagon this weekend at UFC 282. Taking on Jay Perrin in a Bantamweight bout. As soon as the cage door closes, the 18-year-old will be etched into the record books for the foreseeable future.
Another man who knows a thing or two about record books have sent the teen sensation a message of support via Twitter. MMA megastar Conor McGregor has taken a break from his Twitter beefs to send a supportive message to Raul.
Here’s what he had to say:
“That’s incredible! The youngest ever. Good luck young man, in your career with the UFC.”

Dana White’s Contender Series
Raul would earn his shot in the UFC via a performance on Dana White’s Contender Series. After picking up the unanimous decision victory over Mando Gutierrez who was 7-1 at the time. The 17-year-old Rosas Jr impressed the boss with a dominant display over the three-round bout.
Clearly impressed Dana White had this to say about Raul in the DWCS 55 post-fight press conference.
“What a war, what a technical fight it was, both guys pushed themselves as hard as they could. And for a 17-year-old to conduct himself the way he did in this fight, I was blown away by it.”
Raul Rosas Jr
With a record of 6-0 and entering the UFC at just 18. The sky’s the limit for the Mexican fighter looking to make his mark. With five finishes from his six wins, four via submission. Raul has talent, this weekend will prove if he’s UFC level.
Looking to add the youngest-ever winner to his youngest-ever fighter achievement this weekend. Rosas Jr will need to be on his A-game to earn the win this weekend against 10-6 Jay Perrin.
