Cage Warriors: 141 Reece McEwan vs. Kingsley Crawford
Reece McEwan (4-1) is the latest addition to the Cage Warriors bantamweight division. Despite having just one fight with the promotion, the Griphouse representative has certainly made himself known.
McEwan made his highly anticipated debut with the company at Cage Warriors 136 in a fight with Sam Spencer, which showcased the grit, heart, and will to win that the Scotsman possesses. The crafty work that McEwan flaunted earned him a performance bonus on the night.
McEwan displayed his grappling-heavy approach in the opening round, controlling and dominating Spencer in every transition before being dealt with some adversity in the second round. Eventually, presenting his character and finishing his opponent in the third.
Kingsley Crawford (8-3) is no slouch and will gladly welcome McEwan to battle. The 24-year-old has been competing under the Cage Warriors banner since 2018 and has undoubtedly found his feet.
CW 141 will mark Crawford’s tenth fight with the company, holding a record of (6-3) and sharing the Octagon with some noteworthy competition.
Crawford is no stranger to the O2 Arena in London, with his most recent victory coming inside the venue, where ‘The Silent Assassin’ made quick work of Aidan James, finishing him within the first round, furthering his win streak to three on the bounce.
Cage Warriors know how to do exciting fights, and this addition to CW 141 is a testament to that. Two young, hungry and motivated fighters will battle it out on Friday, July 22nd, in a fight that could have huge implications in the bantamweight division.
