News has just broke that Reece McEwan will face a late opponent change ahead of his November 12th match-up at CW 146. Originally scheduled to face Liverpool’s Adam Wilson. The fight has fallen through for what is now the second time.
Still wanting to put in a show, and build on momentum from his last outing. Reece has accepted a fight and will take on Italy’s Teodoro Scolieri instead.
Reece McEwan
Currently 5-1 as a professional, his Cage Warriors 146 walk will be his third for the promotion. 2-0 in the yellow gloves, Reece was hoping a win against a top name like Adam Wilson could propel him into title contention.
With an impressive win last time out over Kingsley Crawford at Cage Warriors 141. He had gained the attention of the former reigning Bantamweight champion Dominique Wooding who took to Twitter. Here is what he had to say when replying to the fight: ‘Looks like I’ve got my next opp set’.
Now it’s clear the champ knows who Reece McEwan is. However, with news of Wooding now fighting elsewhere this fight in itself could be a number one contender bout.
Teodoro Scolieri
Coming into the fight on short notice is the Italian Teodoro Scolieri. Not a name fans are all too familiar with. Teodoro currently has a record of 3-2-1. While not the best on paper it is deceiving.
Having never been finished as a professional or amateur his combined record sits at 6-3-1. This includes a close split decision loss to an at the time 8-1-1 Walter Cogliandro.
Familiar with being the underdog. Scolieri has pulled through to upset the odds multiple times. A man who gives his all, don’t count him out just yet. In what will be the biggest fight of his career, he will not be going down without a fight.
