Reece McEwan returns to the cage fresh off his July win against Kingsley Crawford. Across the cage from the Scot will be Adam Wilson. These two Bantamweights will show down in Manchester at Cage Warriors 146 on November 12th.
A fight that is right at the top of the division, a win for Reece could see him earn a title fight in the near future. With the current champion Dominique Wooding clearly taking note, another impressive display could seal it.
Reece McEwan
5-1 as a professional Reece continues to evolve fight-to-fight. An extremely strong grappler he can tangle with the very best there is. However, he shouldn’t be counted out on the feet, as shown last time out. Dropping Crawford with a huge head kick he proved his power and ever-improvising stand-up game.
Currently riding a two-fight winning streak. The 27-year-old has already caught the attention of the champ. Four of his five wins have come inside the distance with three submissions and one TKO on his resume.
Looking to make his mark and stamp his place in title contention With the belt being defended at Cage Warriors 144, Reece will have a name in mind should he earn the win at CW 146.
Adam Wilson
Opposite McEwan on the night will be Adam Wilson. 5-2 as a pro. Adam currently finds himself on a two-fight skid. Not a true reflection of the Next Generation fighters’ talents. His previous five fights show what he’s all about. Starting his career 5-0 with four wins under the Cage Warriors banner.
Another well-rounded fighter. He trains with some of the best in the UK at Next Generation Liverpool. Of his five wins, three have been finished. Holding two KO/TKOs and one submission to his name.
A tremendous opportunity to get back in the win column against a tough competitor at the top of the division. Expect a hungry and motivated Wilson on fight night.
Cage Warriors 146 in Manchester is in for one hell of a Bantamweight scrap when the cage door closes behind these two. Two of the UK’s hottest talents in the weight class. The winner will no doubt propel themselves up the ladder and closer to the big one.
