Interview with Regg Hingston
How are the preparations going for this fight?
“I’m feeling really confident coming into this fight this Sunday.”
How does it feel to be fighting for a title this weekend?
“Yeah fighting for the title is what I’ve been asking for since the last Goliath show.”
It’s been about six weeks since your last fight, but you were able to finish the fight quickly. Did you take much time off to recuperate, or was it straight back into the gym?
“I didn’t take any time off after my last fight as I wanted to stay as active as possible this year.”
You have won your last two fights, so you must feel confident heading into this matchup. How do you see the fight playing out?
“I’ve got two back-to-back finishes. I personally feel I am going to get him out of there within two rounds, not being arrogant, just have that much confidence in myself.”
This will be your fourth fight of a busy 2022. Is there an element to your game which has improved the most over this time?
“Feel like my whole game as levelled up everywhere can’t pinpoint”
If you map out an ideal 2023, what would that look like for you in terms of fights and career plans?
“I’m planning on having three more Ammy fights, hopefully between March/April, then again in June/July and wanting to make my pro debut later in the year, like October-December.”
Who is your favourite fighter to watch at the moment?
“Favourite fighter to watch would probably be “Do Bronx” just because he never fights a safe fight and always goes out there to finish people and that’s what I aim to do this Sunday.”
What post-fight meal are you looking forward to having?
“Couldn’t say like a certain meal but probably a McDonald’s Big Mac.”
