Renato “Money” Moicano is coming off a 2 fight win streak looks to keep the gravy train going.
Renato Moicano Stuns Jalin Turner at UFC 300 With Comeback Win
Both fighters look to continue their winnings streaks and capitalise on their momentum. Jalin Turner in particular has big opportunities with a win over Moicano. Turner could set up a Gamrot rematch with it being a highly contested decision by many. Moicano with a win over Turner can continue his steady climb up the rankings.
Turner is looking to continue off the momentum generated over his victory over Bobby Green. Prior to the Green fight Turner lost a split decison to Dan Hooker in an absolute war where a one armed Hooker clawed to victory with a comeback in rounds 2 and 3. Turner aims to keep the fight standing where he can utilise his striking advantage and utilise his range and ideally score another KO.
Moicano looks to extends his win streak 3 beating Brad Riddell at UFC 281 and Drew Dober on UFC Fight Night Dolidze vs Imavov. Money Moicano’s path to victory involves trying to utilise his grappling and drag Turner to the mat. Taking down Turner is very viable considering Hooker managed to get Turner down and Hooker is a striker. However Turner did make it competitive Gamrot so his grappling isn’t the worst
What Unfolded?
Early in round 1 Turner hurt Money Moicano with a kick to the body. In response Moicano dragged Turner to the mat and kept him there for the majority of the round. Eventually, Turner got back to his feet where he drops him with a right hand Moicano get up and Turner hurts him again but Moicano survives. Early in round 2 Moicano secured a double leg on Turner again taking him down. Once Moicano had Turner on the floor he was defenceless with Moicano managing to land some vicious ground and pound resulting in a TKO for Money Moicano.
