Rise and Conquer 10 truly is coming together spectacularly. This latest pairing just adds to it.
When Rise and Conquer take place in May, Grant Ogborne will be back in action. He will be fighting Jamie Roper in a fight that pits two truly experienced amateurs against one another. Both men are 12-fight veterans, yet only one can walk out victorious.
Rise and Conquer 10: Grant Ogborne vs Jamie Roper
With Ogborne standing 7-4-1 and Roper standing 8-4, even the men’s records are near identical. Roper started taking fights in 2017, and Ogborne started in 2018. Both men have seen their fair share of wins and losses, and now they face one another. Which vet will walk out with his hand held high?
Grant was coming off of a win at Cage Warriors Academy Wales just last month. Oggy looks to turn a page on his fighting career and build a winning streak. Although he’s got seven wins to his record, he’s only had one winning streak in his career in 2019. If Grant can put it all together and emerge victorious at Rise and Conquer 10, he may be in the best form we’ve seen.
Roper last took a loss in competition back in January at the IMMAFs. Jamie comes in ready to fight as long as need be, as only two of his wins have been finished. Both were submissions. Jamie wants to make a statement and nab his first win of 2022. It’s clear that Jamie has the goods, considering his close fights with top-tier talent. Bryson Price, Jack Leckle, and Ryan Thomas were all undefeated when they fought Jamie. Jamie only lost to Price. Jamie has seen it all.
R&C 10 Goes Down in May
If you have the chance to go to R&C10 at the Rainton Arena in Houghton Le Spring, then I’d highly recommend it. With an amateur card as juiced as can be, there aren’t many regional shows that lead with this type of amateur undercard prior to a massive pro slate. Rise and Conquer are onto something special, and Combat Sports UK will have coverage for all of your pre and post-fight needs.
