One absolute banger of a bout that will be going down in May is Marcus Shanks vs Jeff Ackah. Yes, the same Marcus Shanks who was victorious just this past weekend at Xtreme Kombat. This Lightweight fight is sure to deliver.
Marcus Shanks vs Jeff Ackah
ACE MMA’s Marcus Shanks comes off a victory just a few days ago and jumps right back into training camp. The 2-0 amateur looks to move to 3-0, venturing outside of Almighty FC for the first time. On the other hand, Jeff Ackah enters 1-0 as an amateur and last competed at Rise and Conquer 9. Don’t let the lack of experience fool you. These guys are both high-level prospects.
Marcus Shanks trains at the aforementioned ACE MMA with Shaj Haque, Shawon Choudhury, Aaron Givens and the rest of those guys, so it’s no surprise the level Marcus performs at. Having two wins under his belt is nice, but neither man was quite the fighter Ackah appears to be. Shanks could have his work cut out for him come May 21st.
Jeff Ackah defeated a five-fight veteran with only one defeat in his amateur debut. That is a feat that can not be ignored. Now preparing to face Shanks, who has similar in-cage experience but is one of ACE MMA’s biggest prospects, Ackah is ready to steal the show. This fight is as high level a fight between 2-0 and 1-0 as you’ll see. Higher stakes than you usually see for a fight like this.
