On the 21st of May, at the Rainton Arena, fans will be eagerly anticipating the start of Rise and Conquer 10! The fight promotion has announced fight after fight, padding the line-up with new and experienced MMA talent.
The Bantamweight bout between Nathan Haywood and Thomas Zdanowski is particularly exciting. Both fighters are debuting on the professional circuit, and are hoping to kick off with an emphatic win.
Nathan Haywood vs Thomas Zdanowski
The two fighters carry impressive amateur records, fighting on the U.K. regional scene. Entering Rise and Conquer 10 they are now chasing their first professional win. Both fighters hold positive amateur records. Nathan Haywood had had his hand raised 10 times as an amateur and Tomasz won three amateur bouts.
Nathan has fought 16 times as an amateur. In his first 6 fights, he suffered 4 losses and 3 were submissions within the distance. Nathan has grown as a fighter and has been working incredibly hard to achieve an 8-2 record in his last 10 bouts. His success comes as no surprise considering the pedigree of the gym he trains at, TFT ‘The Fish Tank’. Having had two debuts fall through he will be raring to go come fight-time, expect fireworks.
Thomas Zdanowski, on paper, is less experienced than his opponent. He holds a flawless 3-0 record, having gone to the judge’s decision twice. When you expand the scope of the investigation, his move to the professional circuit of MMA seems a calculated one and not one taken in haste. The Polish fighter, training at Underground MMA, holds an amateur boxing record of 8-3 and his professional K1 record is 7-3. He goes into this fight confident in his ability to take a win.
