Rob Font wins a one-round war as he scores a huge knockout over Adrian Yanez at UFC 287.

Looking to re-enter the winner’s row. Rob Font has his hands full in a highlight bantamweight bout on the UFC 287 main card. One of the UFC’s better boxers, Font on form is a delight to watch. As a professional, the 35-year-old has gone 19-6 and 9-5 in the UFC. All of his UFC losses have come against high-level opposition.
3-2 in his last five, Font has tasted defeat in his last two, losing to both Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera. On the losing side of a decision in both bouts. Starting well in each match-up Font found himself behind come the end bell.
Adrian Yanez
Taking in the toughest test to date. Yanez looks to cement his UFC ranking as he steps into the elite of the bantamweight. One of the slickest strikers the UFC has to offer he has gone 16-3 as a pro. Since joining the UFC in 2020 Yanez has gone a perfect 5-0.
As mentioned above Yanez hasn’t tasted defeat in the UFC with his winning run currently sitting at nine. A finishing machine, four of his five UFC bouts have been stopped inside the distance. His last outing was masterful, as he dispatched Tony Kelly with ease in the first round.
The Fight
Round 1
A big right hand sees Font open the proceedings. A good low kick lands for Yanez as they exchange head strikes. The jab of Font is landing flush. Adrian responds with several jabs of his own. In close both men swing and a huge uppercut from Font wobbles Yanez. He begins to pour in the pressure as he smells blood.
Rushing forward as he senses the finish. Font lands a massive combination, ending in a hook sending Yanez flat to the canvas. Font follows up with deadly blows forcing the ref to stop the fight.
