Robbie Kennedy has nothing on his mind except stopping Jamie MacDonald at Almighty Fighting Championship 28 on November 26th.
Almighty FC returns to the Metrodome in Barnsley with their biggest line-up today. Those attending and tuning in on PPV can anticipate an action-packed night of amateur and professional mixed martial arts action.
Among the fight card is the always-exciting Robbie Kennedy, who collides with Jamie MacDonald, which promises to deliver. Kennedy (3-3) in his career comes into the bout of a rear-naked-choke victory over Kofi Marshall just last month.

Interview With Robbie Kennedy
We are approaching your fourth bout of 2022 at Almighty FC 28 when you meet Jamie MacDonald. How’s the mindset looking ahead of this one as you look to close the year out on a high?
The mindset is in a really good place going into this fight. Looking forward to the challenge and definitely ending the year on a high!
Reflecting back on your year inside the Octagon, how would you sum up your year overall? Would a win over Jamie leave you satisfied for the year, or does the Andy Manzolo fight frustrate you enough to leave you unhappy?
A win over Jamie would be a great way to finish the year off! The fight with Andy was a good learning experience, and on ten days’ notice, it was a fun fight still. He didn’t want to stand and bang.
Robbie Kennedy Weighs-in on Kofi Marshall Fight
You recently defeated Kofi Marshall with ease at Vida Fighting Championships, as expected. Did the fight pan out how you anticipated, and given his record, can you take anything away from that fight?
All I can take from that fight is experience, and I know Kofi has fought other guys and taken them into the 3rd round, so I just wanted to get the job done. My original opponent, Jamie, had pulled out, but at least we get to fight now.
Everyone knows what to get when Robbie Kennedy steps inside the cage. The knockout over Rhino Daley at the beginning of the year showcases what you’re capable of when on your game. Can those attending Almighty anticipate another highlight reel finish to celebrate?
I’m always looking to finish my opponents; that kick was only a fraction of some of my striking skills. My fight record is 3-3, and all six fights were finishes. Whether it’s my opponents or me, somebody is getting stopped!
Kennedy Talks Jamie MacDonald
Let’s talk about Jamie MacDonald. What were your initial thoughts when offered the matchup? Do you know much about him? What do you anticipate he will bring to the table in just over a week’s time?
He looks decent and is from a good gym, so it should be a good fight. I watched a few of his fights, but most are a year or two old, so it will bring an exciting fight. He may try to wrestle or strike with me. We will see.
A win puts you at 3-1 for the year, which is a great sport. Not looking past Jamie, but what aspirations do you have for 2023? Any small goals you’ve set yourself? Are you hoping a bigger organisation reaches out and wants to work with you? Tell me what you’re thinking.
Yeah, I want to fight in any big organisation. I’m a fighter and love to compete as a martial artist and showcase my talents. I get a few more wins under my belt, and who knows what will be next for me!
Before we finish up, leave us with your official fight prediction.
I think the fight will be a finish for me, a KO/TKO or Sub. I don’t like to perform mediocrely. I come to fight!
