Queensbury returns to the south coast this weekend as Ryan “The Piranha” Garner will headline against Salvador Jimenez for a European Super Featherweight title.
The event will be hosted at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) which has recently become a home for south coast boxing. Bournemouth’s own Chris Billam Smith has made it a home for himself and the wider boxing community.
But this weekend it will play host to a Southampton based star. Ryan Garner will look to pack out the BIC and create some recent history becoming a European Super Featherweight champion. The Piranha has been on a tear beating Liam Dillion and Archie Sharp in his last to fight earning himself a homecoming of sorts .
Garner has a great following with lots of his fans following himself all around the country. He will hope his fans will be backing him Saturday.
The undercard sees a host of south coast talent, the co headline sees Shirley’s (Southampton) own Lewis Edmondson fight for a Light Heavyweight commonwealth title. Edmondson is a local favourite especially after beating Dan Azeez in a upset win last year but he will have to break a unbeaten Oluwatosin Kejawa as the Nigerian comes to Edmondson’s backyard to upset the show.
