Sam Alvey has had an up-and-down career in the sport of MMA. The American fighter has competed in the UFC and has fought many great competitors throughout his time with the promotion. His last fight for Dana White’s UFC was in August 2022. Alvey departed the UFC, and since then, he is 2-0, with both of his wins coming by way of knockout.

Alvey is a veteran in the sport and has competed against the best. The American fighter has over 30 wins in his MMA career. He became well-known after competing on season 16 of the Ultimate Fighter. However, he was knocked out of the competition when he lost by a majority decision in the second round. After some time in the regional scene, Alvey joined the UFC in 2014. He had an up-and-down run in the company, with his best run coming between 2016 and 2017. Alvey faced off with many great competitors throughout his time in the UFC. He has faced names such as Ryan Spann, Rashad Evans, and Brendan Allen. Alvey even got the nod in a split-decision victory over Evans. However, during his latter stages with the company, Alvey didn’t get a win for four years. He finished his career in the UFC with a record of 10-13-1 in the promotion.

Since leaving the UFC, Alvey has been on quite the run, with two knockout victories. The first one of those knockouts was under the B2 Fighting Series banner. He beat Cameron Graham by TKO in the third round of the contest. Yet, his second knockout was incredibly impressive. Alvey fought a formidable opponent in the Brazilian fighter Adam Rosa in the Karate Combat promotion. In the latter stages of the first round, Alvey caught Rosa with a hard punch that dropped the Brazilian. The American fighter followed with some ground and pound before the ref called a stop to the contest. It was an incredible performance from Alvey, and it has the whole MMA world talking.
It is always great to see a legend in combat sports pull out these incredible performances. Furthermore, it is good to see Alvey showcasing the best of his abilities.
