Jack Catterall will for sure be losing sleep over this weekends loss. It felt at times he could have been a lot more on the offence. When he was aggressive he he looked a lot better. But he was slowly just watching the rounds go by, and losing them.
This weekends loss just highlights how cruel boxing can be at times, and Jack Catterall has been a major victim to that. From his disgraceful decision defeat to Josh Taylor for undisputed, to then only rematch him 2 years later for zero titles, avenge his win. Beat Regis Prograis in Manchester. Then at the final hurdle fall to a razor thin split decision loss for the interim title.

What’s Next For Jack Catterall
However there is still many options for Jack, and as Sam Jones said there’s ‘loads of big fights for him’. And he still has time to get that much deserved crowning moment.
One fight that’s being spouted about a lot online is Liam Paro. Liam upsets all the odds last year when he defeated Subriel Matias for the IBF world Super Lightweight championship. A fight where many didn’t give him a chance before hand. He then lost the title in a decision defeat to Richardson Hitchins, in a not so memorable fight.
This fight is probably the best fight for Jack, it’s still at world title level. This fight also keeps him in contention for a shot at the title that’s he’s been waiting for.
Another fight that could happen is an all British clash between Jack Catterall and the new WBC #1 Dalton Smith. This fight would be a big fight in the UK, and gives Jack an opportunity at getting a #1 spot back in the division, and making that longing world title shot be a reality.
