Cage Warriors 141 is shaping up to be a stellar card with the addition of another bout on the 22nd July card. The promotion announced a bantamweight bout between Sam Spencer and Adam Amarasinghe.
Sam Spencer
Sam Spencer was 5-1 as a pro in the local MMA scene, fighting in promotions like Budo Fighting Championship & Full Contact Contender. The fighter nicknamed “Smooth” made his Cage Warriors debut all the way back in 2017 at featherweight, where he lost to Scottish fighter Paull McBain via doctor stoppage after the very 1st round.
His most recent fight was against fellow Cage Warriors bantamweight Reece McEwan, in which he got submitted by a rear-naked choke in Round 3. Having been 0-2 in the promotion, the ‘Manchester’ native will be trying his level best to break the losing streak against his opponent.
Adam Amarasinghe
Adam Amarasinghe holds a 6-3 pro MMA record just like his opponent Spencer, however, unlike his opponent, most of Amarasinghe’s fights have been under the Cage Warriors promotion only. The fighter nicknamed “Apex” has had mixed results inside the octagon, with 4 wins & 3 losses and 1 NC(no contest), but has long been lauded by British MMA media & fans for his sharp striking skills in both stances. He fights out of Windsor, England and so far has fought in both flyweight and bantamweight. His last fight ended up in a no-contest against Michele Martignoni due to an accidental eye poke. Prior to that, he fought and lost to Sam Creasey at flyweight, who went on to become the champion of that division.
