We caught up with Welsh pro-Scott Pederson as he prepared for his next fight at Budo FC. Saturday, November 12th, he faces off against Fabrizio Calio in the main event of the night.
Amateur and Pro Background
Fighting out of Shore MMA, Scott Pederson brings with him a wealth of amateur experience. Having competed at the IMAFF tournament six times, it was clear his next move was the pro ranks. Pederson made his professional mma debut in March 2021, and faced off against Matthew Elliot. He went the distance in this bout and came up short, losing via unanimous decision. After this, he looked for redemption in his next bout, and got it. With this bout ending in the first round, securing a rear naked choke finish. After this, he has taken two losses and a draw against some very game opponents.
Pederson trains with some of the best in the UK scene, from UFC fighters such as Jack Shore and Brett Johns, to amateurs at the top of their game like Levi Batchelor, there’s no doubt Pederson will be prepared for this bout. His coaches will have undoubtedly put him through his paces this camp, ensuring he can bring home that win for SMMA. As a Welsh fighter competing in Neath, Pederson also has the hometown advantage- bringing with him an army of support!
