UFC bantamweight champion Sean ‘Suga‘ O’Malley thinks the UFC should sign Dillion Danis.
Dillon Danis has been out of commission since his boxing debut. He had an embarrassing loss to Logan Paul back in October. Danis got a disqualification after attempting a takedown and choke during the boxing tilt. That was also his first ever boxing match in his career and got out boxed by the Youtuber. Shortly after the boxing fight, Danis was released from Bellator.
Since then, the Jiu-Jitsu practitioner has been calling for the UFC to sign him. The CEO and president of the UFC Dana White has shown no interest in signing Dillon Danis. That being said, ‘Suga‘ has spoken in favor for the UFC to sign Danis.
Sean O’Malley Explains His Reasoning
Sean O’Malley was on the MMA Hour and discussed with Ariel Helwani in the most recent interview. He admitted he wanted to see the former Bellator star in the UFC and to see what he can do. “Suga” proposed a one fight deal for Dillon Danis.
“I want to see it,” stated on The MMA Hour when asked about Dillon Danis’ free agency. “Give him one fight, give him the best, give him whoever you want to give him. He loses, cut him. They’ll give him 10/10, 5/5, whatever it is. Yeah, I’d like to see him in the UFC, give him someone on pay-per-view, fuck it. It could be a no-name… Imagine he goes out there and subs some dude, the UFC has got to re-sign him.”
He continued:“His tweets are crazy. I wouldn’t do that but to each their own, I don’t know, I don’t want to bring family into it. But I don’t think he’s a bad person for doing it, necessarily. I think he, he either knew he was going to lose in his last fight, or he just thought Logan was going to suck.”
Dana White recently announced the bantamweight champion’s next fight and opponent. ‘Suga‘ will headlines the February Pay-Per-View in a rematch against Marlon Chito Vera.
