Conor McGregor in a now deleted tweet where he tore into Ryan Garcia also hit O’Malley with a few strays. Conor called both Garcia and O’Malley “ostarine heads” and threatened to “bust yous both up” and “ride yous both like yous are ostriches”. McGregor wasn’t wrong in the fact that Sean O’Malley has tested positive for ostarine in 2018 and 2019 and subsequently served a suspension.
O’Malley has subsequently responded to this in his appearance on Raw Talk. O’Malley said “cocaine is a helluva drug” and he thinks “there’s a lot of jealousy”. This is reference to Conor’s erratic behavior where at times he appears to be under the influence of various substances. Regarding the jealousy it could be possible. Sean is a young successful fighter on the come up where as Conor’s in the tail end of his career and recently has had limited success in the octagon. Interestingly enough O’Malley had no rebuttal for the ostarine jab.
Sean O’Malley Responds to Conor McGregor After Catching Strays
O’Malley was then asked if he would fight Conor he said “he’s too big nowadays” which is true. Conor is significantly bigger than O’Malley starting his career as a big 145er then moving up to 155. And with his next fight being at 170 against Chandler the size gap has increased even more. O’Malley is a career 135er and said as much “I’m a 135er I stay in my lane” and at push “would go to 145”.
But, O’Malley said he’d be willing to “Fight him at 155” for “the payday”. As is the case for most UFC fighters regardless of weight class want the money fight with McGregor. However, a fight between Sean O’Malley and Conor McGregor seems unlikely. The closest they’ll get to fighting each other is exchanging words or fighting on the same card.
