Israel Adesanya Vs Sean Strickland

Adesanya is coming off a spectacular knockout win over long-time rival Alex Pereira. Strickland is also coming off a knockout victory over Abus Magomedev. For a while, it looked like Adesanya would face Dricus Du Plessis. However, Du Plessis turned down the fight due to insufficient time to recover from his most recent battle against Robert Whittaker. Adesanya enters the contest as a massive favourite, as many people expect him to dominate the bout. However, Strickland is no easy challenger as he has good boxing skills and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt. These two fighters are known for their trash talk. It is safe to say he didn’t disappoint as Strickland went for Adesanya at the UFC 293 pre-fight press conference.
“Nobody likes f—– Izzy. He’s a f—— cringe-lord,” Strickland went on to say. “Everything that guy does makes you f—— wince. Like, did he do that? Is he race-baiting Dricus [Du Plessis] right now? How does this play out for you? The thing about Izzy, when somebody sucks to that degree, it’s pretty f—— easy to make fun of them.
“This f—— cringe-lord. F—— A. Even talking about him makes me want to go f—— take a shower. I feel dirty.”
Later in the press conference, he gave his thoughts on the fight.
“It’s going to be a f——war,” Strickland said. “People forget how good of a fighter I am because of how much I talk, but we’ll find out on Sunday. To the death. I run my mouth so much, I think people forget I can fight.”
What Does The Champ Think Of The Challenger
Over Adesanya’s career, he has shown to be very levelheaded. However, he is unafraid to reply to a fighter if they say something wrong about him. The champion has had some harsh words for Strickland in the past. His thoughts on Strickland had clearly stayed the same when speaking to MMA Fighting.
“He’s an idiot. I’m not going to lose to an idiot. He says he won’t lose to a guy who jerks off to cartoons or paints his nails. Well, I’m going to paint my nails for that fight, and I’m going to knock him out with my painted nails.”
