Shad Walters only needed 11 seconds to knock out Nicholas Gjelaj.
Shad Walters Need Only One Punch
Walters was coming into the octagon with a current record of 2-0. Both of his wins have come back way of a stoppage. These were a 2nd round stoppage due to a knee and a 3rd round rear naked choke. He was coming up against another undefeated prospect Nicholas Gjelaj who had a record of 1-0.
Shad Walters did not last long in the octagon as he was able to secure the victory after only 11 seconds. The first punch he threw he was able to connect and knock out Gjelaj. This was one of the quickest knockout in the history of LFA.
Once the bell had rang to start the fight Nicholas Gjelaj was able to take the centre of the octagon. However, that wouldn’t last long as Shad Walters would step in and throw a left hook. The left hook would connect onto Gjelaj ending up dropping him and the referee stepped which avoided any ground and pound.
What Is Next?
Shad Walters will be hoping victory can be used to help give him a big fight next time out. Walters is currently on a 3 fight-winning streak to start his professional career as well as inside the LFA Cage. An 11-second knock-out victory has put in a very good case for getting a high-profile fight and has shown he has serious power on the feet.
On the other hand, Nicholas will return to the LFA cage and will have to hope it will be a more successful night that evening. Nicholas was 1-0 coming into this fight and 5-2 as an amateur so does know how to get a victory. He will have to make sure he uses everything he has learned to make a statement next time out.
