Shaj Haque returns to Almighty FC 26 as a defending champion as he takes on Elliott Hoye in the main event.
Taking place on June 25th in Houghton Le Spring, the Rainton Arena is in for a treat. The Almighty FC promotion is making waves all around the UK, and the calibre of talent rises every show.
Shaj Haque vs Elliott Hoye
Flyweight champion Shaj Haque is a fan favourite at Almighty, with lightning-fast stand up skills and vicious Thai attacks. Since his loss to now UFC fighter Jake Hadley, he has come on leaps and bounds, finishing his last bout by way of stoppage after slicing his opponent Igor Wojtas open with elbows. The Ace MMA fighter will be hoping this year will be a big one, and a knockout would be a good start.
Elliott Hoye comes into this bout, having won his last fight over Aaron Laleye by decision. That took Hoye’s record to 8-2. A well-rounded fighter, he tends to finish opponents on the ground, with an impressive amount of rear-naked choke victories on his resume. At the age of just 25, Hoye has been fighting since 2014 and has much more experience than many fighters 10 years his senior.
There is extra fuel on this fire, other than two of the top flyweights in Britain doing battle.
It is that Hoye owns a submission win over Shaj Haque’s brother, Shamsul.
With everything at stake in this one, it will be a tense affair.
The bout will be a five-round contest, with many, including the promoter, expecting fireworks. One thing’s for sure if you like fast-paced action, this fight is one you will wanna tune in to.
