Unbeaten Middleweight prospect Shara Magomedov has confirmed a return to action in Abu Dhabi.
Shara Magomedov will now co-main event UFC Abu Dhabi against Michal Oleksiejzcuk on just two weeks notice.
Its a short notice return for Shara Magomedov who just recently beat Antonio Trocoli in June at UFC Saudi Arabia.
Michal Oleksiejzcuk’s is returning to action after back to back losses in 2024 to Kevin Holland and Michel Pereira.
Magomedov takes this fight after previous trouble attaining. a visa into the USA for more consistent competition.
The fight was announced on the UFC Vegas 94 card last night as a late replacement bout.
Shara Magomedov Has Replaced Fan Favourites
The bout between Shara Bullet Magomedov and Michal Oleksiejzcuk replaces a fan favourite Welterweight clash between the controversial Nick Diaz and Brazilian Vincent “The Silent Assassin” Luque.
The fight between Luque and Diaz was cancelled after the UFC admitted ‘travel issues’ were a problem.
Luque was last in action in a ground and pound loss to Joaquin Buckley after having two cancellations to Ian Machado Garry and Sean Brady.
Nick Diaz on the other hand has had a large layoff only facing one opponent since 2015, a loss to Robbie Lawler in his retirement bout.
Luque and Diaz are touted to be rescheduled for later this year.
This is rumoured to be on the Las Vegas Sphere card.
Magomedov is a great prospect among UFC Middleweight’s boasting a 13-0 MMA career with 11 KO/TKO wins.
The Dagastaini, known for his brutal striking, will now join Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov who top the bill in the Eitihad Arena August 3rd.
Fans have reacted positively to the announcement with supporters on X saying “This should be class.”
