Free agent Michael “Venom” Page wants a crack at the UFC top 5-10 welterweight and Shavkat Rakhmonov is ready to be the guy to welcome him.
Michael “Venom” Page, who you probably recognize as one of MMA most unorthodox fighter with exciting finishes. He has a record of 21 wins and 2 loses. Page last competed in Bellator in March 10th, 2023 with a quick 26 second victory in the very first round due to leg kicks. He has faced the likes of Douglas Lima, twice, Derek Anderson, Shinsho Anzai and who can forget the flying knee, breaking Evangelista Santos Skull. MVP now has his sights set on the UFC and has spoken about it on Stlyebender’s Youtube page.
Page Wants Someone In The UFC Top 10 Welterweight Division, Shavkat Rakhmonov Offers
“I want top 5, top 10 max. I don’t feel I need to prove myself all over again.” said Michael Venom on FreeStyleBender YouTube. You ask and you shall receive. Shavkat Rakhmonov has raised his hand to welcome MVP to the UFC “How about #6”, he replied on twitter. Shavkat “Nomad” Rakhmonov, like his response, is currently just outside the top 5, ranked at 6. He is undefeated with a record of 17 wins with 17 finishes. His last fight saw him get the fight of the night at UFC 285 and would be a very intriguing match these both exciting fighters together, should the UFC sign MVP.
Last time the UFC signed an exciting fighter from Bellator at the ladder part of his career was none other than Michael Chandler and his first fight in the UFC lasted only two and a half minutes. Three years later, he coached The Ultimate Fighter against Conor McGregor. Not a bad run for Chandler in the UFC. Michael Page could follow into his footsteps.
What do you think? Would you like to see Michael Page in the UFC and fight Shavkat Rakhmonov? Or would you like to sees him fight in the UFC? Let us know in the comments!
