The Victory Invitational is a competition that began in November 2022 in partnership with Victory Combat Sports Promotion. Victory started as a boxing event over ten years ago, but it has since expanded to include submission grappling, kickboxing, and MMA in its shows.
“Our goal is to give as many grapplers of all ages from juniors as young as 6 years old, juveniles and adults of all levels the opportunity to compete in a super fight environment where they normally wouldn’t get the opportunity otherwise. Without the support of our sponsors Vision Home and Endured Clothing, these events wouldn’t be possible. It truly takes a team effort from those passionate about our sport.”

Super Fights to Watch
The next Victory Invitational event is on February 11th at the Fusion Night Club in Liverpool. Juvenile -60kg Nogi submission-only title match Shea Williams v Djihad Hireche-Baghad is a must-see. Shea Williams is a UK champion, but Djihad Hireche-Baghad is flying in from France to challenge him for the title.
On the Adults card, Andy Chapman will fight Adam Way in a Gi submission-only match. This match was supposed to happen on another promotion but never did. Now, it’s happening on Victory fight night. Andy is coming from Ireland to fight Adam, who is fighting out of Rogers Jiujitsu. Will be competing in the second match of the night. This Gi match will be the first of many on Victory in 2023.
Since the launch of Victory Invitational, there’s been a lot of interest from grapplers both in the UK and internationally. In 2023, there will be 11 events in cities like Liverpool, Newcastle, Cardiff, and Scotland, with a potential event in Ireland. The Victory Invitational is also planning a Victory Gi and Nogi Open Tournament. More information will be released soon.
