Sheymon Moraes comes back after losing the first two rounds to score a shock KO in the third. Ruining the comeback party of Brazilian namesake Marlon Moraes. Sheymon was almost certainly down on the cards but comes out on top with a great KO.
The Fight
Marlon was using round one to figure out his opponent Sheymon. Striking well and keeping his distance, he used his movement to secure a takedown and control from the top position. Back on their feet he was finding his flow and landing at will. Round one was all Marlon.
Into round two the Marlon gas tank was preserved due to his patient style. Early on he scores another takedown and uses this to land small, sharp shots to score and damage Sheymon. Back to the feet it once again Marlon who looks the sharpest ends the round in control.
Throwing the entire fight on its head into the third it’s Sheymon who lands the fatal blow. Scoring a knockdown with a right hook. Marlon attempts to recover. However, Sheymon Moraes swarms his wounded prey and lands a short uppercut, once again dropping Marlon. This left the referee no choice.
Can Sheymon Moraes use this momentum going forward in the 2023 season?
