Jorge Masvidal retired in April after a defeat to surging contender Gilbert Burns in front of his home crowd. Reports of a shooting at his Miami mansion has brought the star back into the spot light once more.
After a long established career Masvidal called time with a final record of 35 wins and 17 losses. The Involvement of Jorge Masvidal
Masvidal has faced legal troubles in the past most recently involving Colby Covington in an alleged assault case. However, the shooting did not involve ‘Gamebred’ and this was confirmed by Chris Thomas in this statement. “The relationship between all parties on scene has not been confirmed, however, all parties know each other. The listed owner of the residence is Jorge Masvidal Jr. He was not present during the incident and did not have any involvement.”

Detective Chris Thomas of the Miami-Dade Police has made statements regarding the situation. “According to the victim, he was involved in an argument that escalated when the subject produced a firearm and shot him. The adult male victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Jorge Masvidal Sr, Masvidal’s father, has been reportedly taken into custody by the Miami Police due to his involvement. The situation is ongoing and still has time to develop. Currently, the identities of both the victim and the subject being questioned remain confidential.
